Christianity and World Religions: Wrestling With Questions People Ask is a video-based small-group study that explores four major world religions- Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism – and compares the beliefs of each with those of Christianity. This six-week study deals openly and honestly with questions people ask about other religions, including why we believe the claims of Christianity over those of other faiths. As part of the study, author and presenter Rev. Adam Hamilton interviews a religious leader from each tradition. He treats the world religions with great respect, recognizing the unique contributions of each.
In examining these major world religions and the beliefs of their followers, Reverend Hamilton urges us as Christians to build bridges with others so that we might grow in our faith, seek peace in our world, love our neighbor, and find positive ways to share the gospel message of Jesus.
This series will be facilitated by Rad Orlandi, beginning on June 1st through July 6th (these are Wednesdays). We will offer the study at two different times for your convenience – at 1:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m. Please sign up for the study by calling the church office (878-1155) or add your name and phone number at the bottom of your attendance form; no student manual is needed … but prepare for lots of handouts!
