Breakfast With Santa

December  9th ~ 8-11 am

Eggs, Sausage, Juice, Coffee and All you can eat pancakes!  Adults and children 6 and up $6, Children 5 and under $4, First 200 kids receive a goodie bag from Santa, Bring your own camera for a picture with Santa. Face painting and crafts available. Fun photo booth for families.

 

 

Coping With Grief and Loss at the Holidays

Thursday, December 7 ~ 2:00-3:30 pm

Room 101, Beacon Life Center

The holidays bring back memories of special times.  But they can also painfully highlight the absence of a loved one.  This is also a difficult time for those who have a loved one that is at the end of life. Deborah Galtere retired United Methodist Elder will lead a workshop to help you prepare for the holidays and develop a plan to effectively cope with the expectations and challenges of the season in light of your grief.

 

Chili’s Giving Back Day/Night

December 14th ~ 11 am – 11 pm

Chili’s will donate 15% of the sales to the church.

Please present coupon at the time of your visit.

Entertainment Books are available. They are $35.00! You can purchase them between services on Sunday, from the church office or from United Methodist Women members. Contact Pat Necklen if you have questions. Have a great new year of entertainment!

Good Grief Group – Anyone who has lost a loved one is invited to meet on the first Monday of the month at noon to share a potluck luncheon in Room 101 of the BLC. Call Karol Johnson at 595-6315 for more information.  Our next meeting will be January 8th. 

The Lord’s Supper – (Communion) is being made available each Sunday morning between 7:30 am – 12:30 pm. Bread and juice, as well as guide sheets to lead you through your time communing with God, are available in the Prayer Room at the back of the Sanctuary building.

Feeding Ministry – We meet in the Beacon Life Center kitchen at 2:00 pm on the first and third Thursday of each month, if you would like to help, contact Stephan Lambert at stephanlambert674@gmail.com or 708-6982. Our next date is December 21st.

WHY – We Help You – The WHY volunteers are available to provide in-home meals during difficult times, such as illness, recovering from a hospitalization or nursing home stay, following the loss of a family member, or while experiencing a family crisis.  If you, or someone you know, could use this help, please call Dawn Ginter at 485-3244.

Our friends from the Treasure Coast Deaf Church are worshipping with us at the 9:30 am service on Sunday mornings in the Beacon Life Center. The service is interpreted for the deaf. If you know of anyone that would enjoy this service, please invite them to come! Childcare provided.

Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery

We have been given the opportunity to receive 10% of the (pre-tax) bill whenever our members dine at Perkins Restaurant between now and December 31. Simply present the printed coupon to the cashier at the Perkins Restaurant and Bakery at 9202 S. Federal Highway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952. Coupons can be found at the church office, in the Narthex or the Lobby of the Beacon Life Center. Please feel free to pass them out to your friends, family and neighbors. (Please note that coupons from your smart phone will not be accepted).

 

Need a Ride? – If anyone needs a ride to and/or from the 11 am service on Sunday please let us know. The bus will pick you up from your home and drive you back after the service at no cost. If you are interested please call Frank at 772-521-4672 or the church office at 878-1155.

 

Nursery Care Available – You can trust your infants and preschoolers to the care of our nursery attendants. We have beepers so parents can be called out of worship if necessary.  Nursery is available at all services for infants 0-5.

We accept debit or credit cards (Visa, Master Card or Discover) or you can send an e-check.
