“A Covenant Prayer in the Wesleyan Tradition”
(Brian Carr Paraphrase)

I am no longer my own but yours O, Lord.
Put me to what you will, rank me with whom you will.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed by You or laid aside for You,
Exalted for You or brought low for You.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to your pleasure and disposal.
And now, most glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
You are mine, and I am yours. So be it.
And may this covenant which I have made here on earth,
Be ratified in heaven. Amen.

A few months ago, 1st UMC Port St. Lucie launched the 8:20 am prayer initiative. Pastors Brian and Rad have given their blessing to move forward on taking a next step in this prayer emphasis. We invite you to submit requests you want people to pray for on our Facebook page and for you to respond to other’s posts that you are praying for the requests (including a brief prayer if you are so led). Feel free to do this any time of day. You can continue to submit prayers through the office as well for inclusion in the daily email blast. We hope to engage some additional people to join in corporately praying, virtually, by adding this online option. This is an opportunity to join together as a church family to pray, especially for those unable to meet with our ongoing Men’s and Women’s prayer groups that meet each week. Hope to see you online!

Do you know anyone that is unable to watch our sermon online? Perhaps they do not have the internet? Or are unsure of how to use it? Having a hard time hearing all of the words?
Our Sunday Sermons are recorded and you can CALL IN on Monday after 2 pm to hear the message. Simply dial the number  1-772-202-5818 (must use area code).
