OUR LENT STUDY begins soon! Home study groups will be using “Easter Earthquake” by James Harnish. Earthquakes shake our most basic assumptions: that the ground will remain steady beneath our feet.
In Easter Earthquake, James Harnish invites us to place the resurrection at the center of our Lenten journey. This 6-week study explores how Christ’s resurrection shakes some of our most basic assumptions about ourselves and God.
This book reverses the usual focus of Lenten studies by starting at the empty tomb and seeing the entire journey in light of the resurrection. Join us in this energizing exploration that will inspire you to live as a more faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.
Purchase your copy of Easter Earthquake as soon as possible! It can be purchased in various formats (paperback and Kindle) for under $11.00 to $13.99 from Cokesbury, Christianbook.com, Upper Room, Barnes & Noble and Amazon. It is published by Upper Room (ISBN-13: 978-0835817165).

Do You Have a Legacy Plan in Place?
When you pass on or become disabled, do your survivors know your wishes for your funeral, where important legal documents are, where your bank and investment accounts are, how the bills should be paid, where your electronic passwords are stored, how your property should be disposed of, what insurance you have, etc.?
If not, the United Methodist Men will be conducting an introductory class on some suggestions of what you should have in place in the event of such an occurrence. Two identical sessions of this class will be held in BLC 101:
Thursday, February 21 at 7:00 pm, and Monday, February 25 at 1:00 pm. These meetings are scheduled to last for 1 hour.
Two members of the United Methodist Men have gone through and documented the above for their loved ones. They will explain what they have included in their Legacy Plan, and give you some steps on how to get started with yours.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Amazon will donate .05% of eligible sales when we use smile.amazon.com for our online purchases. Your participation will benefit the church at no additional cost to you.
