Brian Carr

Born in Mullens, West Virginia, unsuspectingly went on that one mission trip to Mexico back in 1985 and his life was transformed forever. Soon thereafter he graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Spanish and served in Mexico for 3 years as a United Methodist Volunteer in Mexico. Not only learning to trust God for very survival, he also met and married his lovely Mexican princess Lorena while there. They now have three lovely daughters who delight their lives – Lidia, Maia and Sterling. Brian sensed a call to ordained ministry while serving as a Youth Director at St. Luke’s UMC in Windermere, FL and left for seminary at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Now in his twentieth year of ordained ministry, he has been privileged to serve with congregations at Asbury UMC in Maitland; the Lighthouse in Coconut Grove; Perrine-Peters UMC in Miami; Trinity UMC in DeLand and currently serves as the senior pastor at First UMC in Port St. Lucie. Brian continues to marvel at the glorious grace of God in his life and still can’t quite get over just how much God loves him, how much God loves all of us!
