Pastor Evelyn Teran:
From Bayamón, Puerto Rico, is married to Anthony Teran, and is the grandmother of 11 grandchildren. She graduated with an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2015, and is an active member of the United States Navy Reserves. In 2011, she was invited to support the leadership of the Hispanic church at Genesis UMC, in Casselberry, Florida. Her desire to serve, and her extended experience with Florida Hospitals as a Chaplain and her Clinical Pastoral Education, opened the doors for a new invitation to begin a Hispanic Ministry at Spring of Life UMC, where Pastor Evelyn served as the Director of Pastoral Care and The Hispanic Ministry. Pastor Evelyn served 6 years as a missionary, with Youth With A Mission. She evangelized, preached, provided discipleship, and Pastoral support around the world, and has previous Pastoral experiences outside of the UMC. She is a strong Christian leader in the community, and every week worldwide on the radio/internet, she shares her gift of preaching. She is also strong and experienced in Pastoral care ministries such as; pediatrics, hospice, behavioral health, home visits and bereavement. She enjoys equipping others for the work of the ministry. Some of her popular phrases include; “I have been there and I have done that ” ; “For God and Country” and “don’t send ducks to the eagle school” .
