Radamee (Rad) Orlandi is a third generation Methodist, born and raised in Puerto Rico. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University; Indiana University School of Dentistry (yes, you read that right!); and Asbury Theological Seminary. He is also a retired Captain in the Navy Reserve.
Rad has been teaching Bible studies and related topics at FUMC since the mid-80’s while serving on numerous committees and councils, and in the process discovered a deep passion for teaching and equipping disciples so they may confidently proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. After 30 years in clinical dental practice and obtaining a Certificate in Christian Education from the Florida Annual Conference he experienced a strong call to ordination. He sold his practice, completed seminary and was commissioned a Provisional Deacon by the Annual Conference.
Rad is married to Pat. They have two adult sons and a grandson. Rad and Pat enjoy half marathons together and share a love of reading…which is a good thing because Methodist clergy read a lot. Rad also enjoys gardening and will gladly give you a Royal Poinciana seedling. Really, just ask; he’s got lots of them.
Rad favorite bible verse
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
