Mission Statement
Ark Academy at First United Methodist Church exists to partner with families in the community to enrich the minds, nurture the hearts and inspire the souls of young children with the love of Jesus.
Purpose Statement
Our program is designed to enhance each child’s spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical development through a faith-based curriculum. The goal of Ark Academy is to nurture each child in a safe and loving environment while encouraging them to develop an enthusiasm for learning.
Preschool General Information
Ark Academy is a ministry of The First United Methodist Church. Daily lessons emphasize character building and Biblical truths. Children will also take part in Chapel. Chapel activities will include prayer, singing and Bible stories. In addition, children will pray before meals and snacks each day.
Full day and half day programs are available for children that are at least one year old and walking thru four year olds. Half day and Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) programs run from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. The VPK program dates generally follow the public school system’s calendar. Extended care and summer programs are also offered. Morning and afternoon snack is provided.
Wee Learn, a faith based curriculum, is used to teach children age appropriate skills while incorporating a bible story and verse each week. VPK students learn thru the Splash Curriculum.
Ark Academy is licensed by the State of Florida License # C19SL0124. We partner with the Early Learning Coalition in providing Voluntary Prekindergarten to all children who turn 4 prior to September 1st of the corresponding school year.
